Ms. Cayce Staruk
About Mrs. Staruk:
Cayce Staruk has served as an educator and administrator in the School District of Lee County since 1999. She taught at Mirror Lakes Elementary and Hancock Creek Elementary as an ESE teacher in both primary and intermediate grades. Mrs. Staruk has been an assistant principal at Hancock Creek Elementary and Treeline Elementary since 2009. Mrs. Staruk was appointed the principal of Orange River in July of 2018.
Mrs. Staruk attended the University of South Florida where she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and earned her master’s degree in Educational Leadership at Nova Southeastern University.
Mrs. Staruk is excited for the school year! She is eager to lead the staff and students of Orange River Elementary and continue the mission to empower and motivate students to be lifetime learners while promoting high achievement and success through a love of learning. “Success for All!”

ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
Dr. Jennifer Misewicz
About Dr. Misewicz:
Dr. Jennifer Misewicz moved to Fort Myers at the age of 12. She attended Alva Middle School and graduated from Riverdale High School. As a product of the Lee County School District, Dr. Misewicz provides a compelling role model for our students. She attended the University of South Florida and attained a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. Both her Masters, (2001), and Doctorate in Educational Leadership, (2013), were earned locally at Florida Gulf Coast University, FGCU.
During her 20 years as a classroom teacher, all in Lee County, Dr. Misewicz taught every elementary grade level from kindergarten through fifth grade. She then served for 8 years as a Curriculum Specialist at Franklin Park and Villas Elementary Schools. Promoted to Assistant Principal of Orange River Elementary School in 2013, Dr. Jennifer Misewicz exemplifies the lifelong love of learning Orange River instills in its students. She and Mrs. Staruk work side by side with their dedicated faculty and staff to ensure the school vision of “Success for All”.
